Clients and Principal Contractors have been steadily increasing their demands for the rest of the construction team to address environmental issues in both design and construction phases.  Compliance with, and accreditation to, ISO 14001, the environmental management system, is becoming the required capability.  Added to the need to comply with OHSAS 18001 – the health and safety management system and ISO 9001 - the Quality management system - these demands are substantial.
